Our young clients came to us with a limited budget and an abundance of enthusiasm, wanting to transform their first home, a tiny 1948 bungalow into a comfortable “forever” home. They were willing to put in the work to make it happen, and we were thrilled to work with them.
The couple’s primary goal was to add a private master bedroom wing at the rear of the home with a mudroom/ side entry connection to the existing dwelling. A large wood deck connecting the new master wing to the remodeled kitchen creates a cozy outdoor space to entertain or relax. An existing lemon tree provides shade.
The indoor renovation goal was to open the existing living, kitchen and dining areas to allow views to the surrounding gardens and greenspace, and improve the function and flow of the space.
